بازخوانی انتقادی پروژۀ هابرماس و مسئلۀ رهایی

چکیده
این جستار با اتخاذ رویکردی دیالکتیکی، به خوانشِ بازسازیخواهانۀ اندیشۀ یورگن هابرماس در تداوم و تحدیدِ سنتِ نظریۀ انتقادی میپردازد. این رویکرد در هستۀ سخت خود، فروبستگی یا گشودگیِ نسبت میان عقلانیت، سلطه و امر رهاییبخش را هدف قرار داده است. پرسش اصلی مقاله آن است که آیا «عقلانیت ارتباطی» پتانسیل لازم برای گسست از سیطرۀ توتالیترِ «عقلانیت ابزاری» را داراست، یا خود پیشاپیش در زنجیرۀ بازتولیدِ ساختارهای سلطه استحاله میشود؟ پژوهش حاضر با عزیمت از نقد کارپایه و بتوارهپرستی نزد مارکس، و تبارشناسیِ «دیالکتیک روشنگریِ» نسل اول فرانکفورت، رویکرد هابرماس را بررسی میکند. در نهایت نشان داده میشود که او چگونه با تفکیک پارادایمیک میان «نظام» و «جهانحیاتی»، بر بدبینی هستیشناختی اسلاف خود فائق میآید. هابرماس با این تفکیک، میانجیهای رهایی را از دل پتانسیلهای درونماندگارِ خودِ مدرنیته استخراج میکند. با این حال، نقطۀ تمرکز انتقادی مقاله بر این امر استوار است که «استعمار جهانِ حیاتی» توسط مقتضیات قدرت و سرمایه، تحقق این صورتبندی هنجاری را با چالش مواجه میسازد. در فرجام، مقاله به این سنتز نظری دست مییابد که رهایی در بستر مدرنیته، منوط به یک همآیی دیالکتیکی است؛ پیوندی میان «کنش ارتباطی عاری از اجبار» و دگرگونیهای انضمامی در ساختارهای مادی و نهادی جامعه.

A Critical Reading of Habermas’s Project and the Question of Emancipation

This paper uses a dialectical approach to offer a reconstructive reading of Jürgen Habermas’s thought within the continuity and limits of critical theory, focusing on the tension between rationality, domination, and emancipation. The central question is whether “communicative rationality” possesses the capacity to break from the totalizing dominance of “instrumental rationality” and the instrumental rationalization of society, or whether it is itself absorbed into the reproduction of structures of domination. Drawing on Marx’s critique of the commodity form and fetishism, as well as the genealogy of the Dialectic of Enlightenment in early Frankfurt School thought, the study shows how Habermas, through his paradigmatic distinction between “system” and “living world,” overcomes the ontological pessimism of his predecessors and locates emancipatory potential within the immanent, learning capacities of modernity. However, the paper critically argues that the “colonization of the living world” by the imperatives of power and capital undermines the viability of this normative framework. It concludes that emancipation within modernity depends on a dialectical synthesis between “undistorted communicative action” and concrete transformations in the material and institutional structures of society.
